On Thursday morning (14/7), a group of FISIP UNDIP Alumni batch 1976 consisting of 50 people visited UNDIP Pleburan. They were welcomed by the Coordinator of the Doctoral Program Department of Public Administration Dr. Dra. Retno Sunu Astuti, M.Si, and the Head Department of Doctoral Program of Political Science Yuwanto, Ph.D. All of the participants remembered their happy memories as a student back in time when they were studying in Pleburan.

Dr. Dra. Retno Sunu Astuti, M.S in her short speech welcomed the alumni and recalled herself as one of the alumni of FISIP UNDIP back in Batch 1981. She also praised batch 76 solidarity, especially in their retirement period. In line with Dr. Retno, Mr Yuwanto also praised batch 76 solidarity and felt grateful they were able to manage a fulfilling moment together and hoped lecturers in FISIP UNDIP are able to enjoy a good moment until retirement age in good health and able to carry out normal activities.

While enjoying delicacies such as wedang ronde and godhokan such as boiled sweet potatoes, cassava, corn and bananas, the alumni enjoyed the atmosphere they had passed about 4 decades ago. Mas Pinem, who is the mascot of batch 76, revealed that there were a lot of changes after we left the fusion campus, there were only a few buildings that didn’t change much like in room B.104.
The reunion activity was continued to the FISIP UNDIP Tembalang Campus because the main event had been prepared by the Dean at the Tembalang Campus. Located in the FISIP UNDIP Auditorium, Building A, 3rd floor, the event was very lively. Welcomed by the Dean of FISIP UNDIP Dr. Drs. Hardi Warsono, MT., along with the Deputy Dean of Academic and Student Affairs Dr. Teguh Yuwono, M.Po;. Admin., Deputy Dean of Resources Ika Riswanti Putranti, SH., MH., Ph.D ., along with Administrative Managers, Heads of Departments, and Study Program Managers in FISIP UNDIP, Alumni who mostly wore orange t-shirts were very happy.

In his warm welcome, the Dean asked the alumni whose domicile was farthest from Semarang, and unexpectedly, it turned out that there were alumni who came all the way from Germany and Australia specifically to enliven the alumni activities of this batch of 76. This is truly extraordinary, his enthusiasm and dedication in maintaining brotherhood since 1976 are still well managed now, as explained by the Dean. Furthermore, Dr. Hadi Warsono explained that UNDIP’s graduates have the fastest period in gaining a job, and the university has ranked in the top 500 universities in the world, added Dean Hardi Warsono explaining to alumni. While enjoying the solo organ entertainment that has been prepared by the committee by presenting nostalgic songs, the alumni really enjoyed the strait solo and Garang Asem dishes on the lunch menu.
Still, in the series of reunions for FISIP UNDIP batch 76, the alumni continued the event at 14.00, as the Dean of FISIP UNDIP collaborated with the Semarang City Government to prepare a Double Decker Bus “Si Denok” for a city tour. Semarang. There was a cheerful and happy expression when the alumni group was already on the Double Decker bus which was ready to take the alumni for a city tour around the city of Semarang.
